Emily Hopkins


Emily Hopkins began studying harp at the age of 8 under harpist Jeanne Fintz-Goldstein of Long Island. Emily has since participated in various orchestras such as the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, C.W Post Orchestra, Hunter College Symphony, and the Toronto Wind Youth Orchestra. In 2009, she performed in Carnegie Hall under the direction of Phil Preddice, and in 2012 she became a member of Music Under New York. In 2015, she graduated from Hunter College under the instruction of harpist and composer Alyssa Reit with a double major in Music Performance and Media Studies. Emily has been featured in the New York Post, on WQXR Classical Radio, in Kurt Boone's book Subway Talents and on CUNY TV's "Study With The Best", and she was more recently featured on the World News Now segment for ABC News. Emily has worked with composers and recorded original compositions such as "A Life: Lived" and "Greenland". She regularly performs for weddings, dinner parties, baby showers, church functions, bridal showers, cocktail hours, and other special events.
